Family involvement is an important part of virtual learning.
A parent, guardian, or other responsible adult serves as the student’s Educational Partner. They work alongside teachers and staff to help the student remain organized, engaged, and on track.
The amount of daily support needed will vary based on the student’s age, grade level, and ability to work independently.
Certified teachers provide instruction, feedback, and academic assistance. They help students strengthen their understanding and provide additional support when challenges arise.
Facilitators and mentors help students stay connected, develop positive learning habits, and make consistent progress. They also communicate with families and help families understand expectations and available resources.
K–8 students follow a clear learning plan with scheduled assignments, attendance expectations, and required participation.
Students can access coursework from home, but virtual learning still requires daily effort, communication, and consistency.
