Support for K–8 Families
Virtual learning is most successful when the school and family work together.
A parent or guardian serves as the student’s educational partner, helping the student follow routines, complete assignments, participate in required activities, and stay connected with the school.
- Creating a consistent daily schedule
- Providing an appropriate learning space
- Monitoring assignments and progress
- Encouraging participation in live sessions
- Communicating with teachers, facilitators and mentors
- Reinforcing responsible online behavior
The amount of daily support needed will vary based on the student’s age, grade level, and ability to work independently.
Families also receive access to tools that help them review grades, monitor progress, receive school updates, and communicate with the student’s support team.
Support for Adult Learners
Adult learners often balance education with work, family, childcare, and other responsibilities.
The Adult School provides flexibility while still offering clear guidance and accountability.
- Understand remaining diploma requirements
- Build a realistic academic plan
- Maintain consistent progress
- Work through academic challenges
- Prepare for future education or career opportunities
Adult learners are expected to manage their time responsibly, communicate regularly, and ask for assistance when needed.
Technology Support
Students use an online learning platform to access lessons, submit assignments, review feedback, and communicate with teachers.
Students need reliable internet access and an appropriate computer or Chromebook. Technology requirements and any available device-loan options will be explained during enrollment.
Technical support is available when students or families experience problems accessing coursework, submitting assignments, or using school-provided systems.
Communication Matters
Consistent communication helps students remain connected and allows the school to respond quickly when support is needed.
- Check school messages regularly
- Respond to teachers and support staff
- Attend required virtual meetings
- Report academic or technical issues promptly
- Keep contact information current
